Terms of Sale
Last updated: May 2026
1. General provisions
These Terms of Sale (hereafter "Terms") govern the contractual relationship between Kashiku (hereafter "we", "our" or "the Company") and you, the customer (hereafter "you" or "the Customer"), concerning all orders placed on our website kashiku.com.
By placing an order on our website, you accept to be bound by these Terms. We recommend that you read them carefully before making a purchase. These Terms apply exclusively; any conflicting or differing conditions from the Customer will not be recognised, unless expressly agreed in writing on our part.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The version of the Terms applicable to your order is the one in force at the time the order is placed.
2. Order process
2.1 Formation of the contract
The presentation of products on our website does not constitute a binding offer but an invitation to place an order (invitatio ad offerendum). By clicking the "Place the order" button, you submit a firm offer to purchase the products in your cart.
You will receive an automatic order confirmation by email, which merely acknowledges receipt of your order and does not constitute acceptance. The contract is concluded when we send the shipping confirmation or deliver the goods.
2.2 Order verification
We reserve the right to verify any order before acceptance. We may refuse orders in case of doubt regarding payment, suspected fraud, or if the products are not available. In such cases, we will inform you promptly and refund any payment already made.
2.3 Customer account
You may order as a guest or create a customer account. If you create an account, you are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activities under your account.
3. Prices and payment
3.1 Prices
All prices shown on our website are in euros and include VAT (Value Added Tax) at the applicable rate. Shipping costs are displayed separately and added at checkout before the finalisation of your order.
Prices are subject to change without notice. However, the price applicable to your order is the one displayed at the time you place your order.
3.2 Payment methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
- PayPal
- Bank transfer (SEPA)
- Klarna (Pay later, Pay in 3)
- Apple Pay / Google Pay
3.3 Payment terms
Payment is due immediately upon placing the order for credit card, PayPal and instant payment methods. For bank transfers, payment must be received within 7 days following order confirmation.
3.4 Reservation of title
The goods remain our property until full payment. You may not pledge, transfer as security or otherwise dispose of the goods before title transfers to you.
4. Shipping
4.1 Shipping zone
We ship to all European Union countries, as well as to Switzerland, Norway and the United Kingdom. Shipping to other countries may be available on request.
4.2 Delivery times
Delivery times vary depending on the destination country and are indicated at checkout. Standard delivery times are:
- Western Europe: 2 to 4 working days
- Southern Europe: 3 to 5 working days
- Northern Europe: 3 to 5 working days
- Eastern Europe: 4 to 7 working days
- United Kingdom: 5 to 8 working days
These are estimated times that may be affected by circumstances beyond our control. Orders placed before 2pm CET on working days are generally dispatched the same day.
4.3 Shipping costs
Shipping is free for orders over €180. For orders below this amount, shipping costs depend on the destination country and are clearly displayed at checkout.
4.4 Transfer of risk
The risk of loss or damage transfers to you upon delivery. If you are a consumer, the risk transfers when the goods are handed to you or to a person designated by you.
5. Right of withdrawal
5.1 Right of withdrawal
As a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal without having to justify any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party other than the carrier designated by you, physically takes possession of the goods.
5.2 Exercise of the right of withdrawal
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unambiguous statement (for example, a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form available on our website, but it is not mandatory.
Withdrawal contact:

5.3 Effects of withdrawal
In the event of withdrawal on your part, we will refund all payments received from you, including shipping costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from the fact that you chose a delivery method other than the standard, cheapest delivery method offered by us), without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.
We will refund using the same payment method as the one used for the initial transaction, unless you expressly agree otherwise. You will bear the direct costs of returning the goods.
5.4 Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Items engraved or personalised at the customer's request
- Items made to the customer's specifications (specific steel, handle or finish)
- Items visibly used or returned without the original protective sheath
6. Warranty and liability
6.1 Statutory warranty
All products sold by us benefit from the statutory warranty of conformity as provided by French law. For consumers, the warranty period is 24 months from delivery. For professionals, the warranty period is 12 months.
6.2 Notification of defects
If you notice a defect, please contact our customer service immediately. We will arrange for repair, replacement or refund in accordance with the applicable warranty provisions.
6.3 Atelier & repair warranty
Every Kashiku piece, prepared in our atelier, is guaranteed against any manufacturing or material defect. We provide repair of knives (sharpening, polishing, handle replacement, straightening) for life: on the house the first year, then at cost. This warranty does not affect your statutory warranty rights.
6.4 Limitation of liability
Our liability for damages is limited to cases of intentional fault and gross negligence. In the case of simple negligence, we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, and our liability is limited to the foreseeable and typical damage of the contract. This limitation does not apply to damages arising from injury to life, body or health.
7. Dispute resolution
7.1 Online dispute resolution
The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform (ODR) which you can access at:https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Our email address is: contact@kashiku.com.
7.2 Consumer mediation
We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
8. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of the French Republic, to the exclusion of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If you are a consumer habitually resident in the EU, you also benefit from the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
For merchants, legal entities under public law or special funds under public law, the place of exclusive jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms is Paris, France.
9. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, this will not affect the validity of the other provisions. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision that comes as close as possible to the economic purpose of the invalid provision.
